RTOP - RedSpear Tactical Operations Program
Most teams on a gel blaster field aren’t teams. They’re a crowd moving in roughly the same direction. RTOP — the RedSpear Tactical Operations Program — is structured training that turns recreational players into people who can think, plan, communicate and move as one unit. The standard is simple: calm competence , not noise.
RTOP is a structured online MilSim program for Queensland gel blaster players. Three levels, monthly cohorts, two short written sessions a week, a field-manual workbook, and skills you apply at the games you already play. Evidence-based throughout — real military doctrine, real-world parallels, sources cited.
Now taking pre-enrolments. Class 001 (Foundation) opens Monday 3 August 2026 — 20 founding spots at the $99 intro price. Pre-enrol below to lock yours in; your course area opens the day the cohort begins.
The three levels
Foundation
12 weeks · open enrolment
The base every operator needs: tactical thinking and the OODA loop, situational awareness, mission planning, small-unit tactics, communications under fire, CQB theory and team coordination.
$149 (intro cohort $99)
Recon
4 weeks · by application
Builds on Foundation — deeper coordination and sharper field application. Opens to Foundation graduates after a three-month gap, by application.
$129
Assault
4 weeks · by application
The top tier, for graduates who’ve proven the standard in the field. By application, after Recon and a three-month gap.
$129
Each level is capped at 20 per cohort. A minimum three-month gap between levels is enforced — the field time in between is the point.
How it runs
- Monthly cohorts. Cohorts run monthly, each starting on a Monday. The first — Class 001 — opens Monday 3 August 2026.
- Two sessions a week. Session 1 on Monday, Session 2 on Thursday. Written, 30–45 minutes each — read them on your own time.
- A short quiz each week to lock the content in. Pass it, move on.
- A field-manual workbook. Fillable PDF included with every enrolment; a printed copy is available as an add-on.
- Your cohort on Discord — discussion, questions, and a record of who you trained with.
- Applied at real games. You take what you learn to the QLD milsims and skirmishes you already play, and log it. No special events required.
The standard
Every session is built on evidence, not war stories. Each one cites a real military or special-forces reference, then shows the same principle at work somewhere civilian — aviation crew resource management, emergency medicine, elite sport, professional driving. Sources are printed at the bottom of every session. Nothing is invented.
There are no skulls, no “operator” cosplay, and no shortcuts. The aim is to make better decisions under pressure and work as a genuine team. Calm competence is the whole brief.
What you finish with
- A digital certificate for the level you complete
- An earned program patch (posted to you)
- Ongoing access to your level’s Discord channels
- The real prize: the ability to plan, communicate and move as a team on the field
Who it’s for
For you if: you’re tired of running around as a mob, you’ll put in 30–45 minutes of reading twice a week, and you actually get to games. Not for you if: you want a tactical badge with no work, or you don’t make it to the field — RTOP only pays off when you apply it.
