RTOP Foundation - Gel Blaster MilSim Training Program
Most teams on a gel blaster field are really just a crowd moving the same direction. RTOP Foundation is the 12-week base that changes that — the structured training that turns a recreational player into someone who can think, plan, communicate and move as part of a real unit. The standard is calm competence, not noise.

What you’ll learn over 12 weeks
A complete tactical foundation, built one layer at a time:
- Tactical thinking and the OODA loop — making good decisions under pressure
- Situational awareness — reading terrain, people and threats before they matter
- Mission planning — the OPORD, contingencies and the pre-game brief
- Small-unit tactics — fire and movement, and what to do the moment contact happens
- CQB room theory, formations and team movement
- Communications under fire — contact reports and brevity that prevent panic
- Multi-team coordination, enemy-behaviour prediction, defence and withdrawal
- Decentralised command — the capstone: making sound calls without being told
How it runs
- 12 weeks, one cohort. Everyone starts together and moves through week by week.
- Two written sessions a week (Monday and Thursday), 30–45 minutes each — read them on your own time.
- A short weekly quiz to lock the content in.
- A field-manual workbook (fillable PDF included; a printed copy is available separately).
- Applied at real games. You take what you learn to the QLD milsims and skirmishes you already play, and log it. No special events required.
The standard
Every session is built on evidence, not war stories — a real military reference paired with a parallel from aviation, emergency medicine, elite sport or professional driving, with sources printed at the bottom. No skulls, no “operator” cosplay, no shortcuts. Just better decisions and genuine teamwork.

Who it’s for
For you if you’re done running around as a mob, you’ll put in 30–45 minutes of reading twice a week, and you actually get to games. Not for you if you want a tactical badge with no work, or you won’t make it to the field — RTOP only pays off when you apply it.
