Short Version of our Privacy Policy

  • We collect information you provide (account details, seller applications, messages) and basic usage data (cookies/analytics).
  • Marketplace item payments are not processed by RedSpear. Buyers and sellers arrange payment directly.
  • We do sell Listing Credits. Payments for Listing Credits are processed via Shopify checkout/payment providers.
  • Buyer–seller messages are handled via ShipTurtle messaging (a third-party service provider).
  • We share data with service providers (Shopify, ShipTurtle, email/analytics tools) to operate the website.
  • You can request access/correction of your personal info and you can complain if you think we’ve mishandled it.

RedSpear Armory (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and is responsible for personal information we collect and hold.

What personal information do you collect?

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:

  • Account info: name, email, phone (if provided), location/suburb/region
  • Seller application info: identity/verification details you provide, business name/ABN (if applicable), social links, and other onboarding details
  • Listing info: product details, photos/videos you upload, pickup/shipping preferences, and communications about listings
  • Messaging data: messages sent via the site’s seller messaging feature (via ShipTurtle) 
  • Listing Credits purchase info: billing/shipping address (if required), transaction metadata, and order details for Listing Credits processed via Shopify checkout
  • Technical/usage data: IP address, device/browser info, and site activity via cookies and analytics
Do you collect sensitive information?

We don’t ask for sensitive information. Please do not send sensitive personal information through messages or forms.

Do you collect information about children?

RedSpear is intended for18+ users. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from minors.

We collect information when you:

  • create an account, apply as a seller, or contact us
  • create a listing or upload media
  • use buyer–seller messaging
  • purchase Listing Credits through Shopify checkout
  • browse the site (cookies/analytics)

What do you use personal information for?

We use it to:

  • operate the website and provide marketplace features
  • approve sellers and review listings (moderation and fraud/scam reduction)
  • enable buyer–seller messaging
  • provide support and respond to enquiries
  • process Listing Credit purchases and manage receipts/tax records
  • improve site performance, security, and usability
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our policies

5 - Payments and marketplace model

Do you process payments for marketplace items?

No.Payments for marketplace items are arranged directly between buyer and seller. RedSpear does not process those payments, hold funds, or provide escrow.

What about Listing Credits purchases?

Listing Credits are purchased via Shopify checkout. Payment processing is handled by Shopify and/or the payment providers you choose to enable in Shopify (for example, card providers, PayPal, etc.). (We do not store full card numbers.)

6 - Who we share information with

Who do you disclose personal information to?

We may share personal information with trusted service providers who help us run the site, including:

  • Shopify (e-commerce platform hosting and store operations)
  • ShipTurtle (buyer–seller messaging and related marketplace functionality) 
  • Payment providers used for Listing Credit purchases (via Shopify settings)
  • Analytics and security providers (e.g., website performance and fraud prevention tools)
  • Email/support tools used to communicate with you
  • Law enforcement if required

We do not sell personal information.

7 - Overseas disclosures

Is my information stored or processed overseas?

It may be. Some of our service providers (including Shopify and ShipTurtle) may process or store data on servers located outside Australia (for example, in the United States or other regions), depending on their infrastructure. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and protect personal information.

Do you use cookies?

Yes. Cookies help the site function (logins, preferences) and help us understand traffic and improve the site. Shopify also uses cookies as part of operating Shopify-powered stores. You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect site features.

How do you protect personal information?

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, including access controls and using reputable service providers.

How long do you keep information?

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above (including legal/tax records, handling disputes, fraud prevention, and enforcing policies). When no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it (ShipTurtle’s DPA also describes deletion/anonymisation after termination or request, typically within a stated timeframe.).

How can I access or correct my personal information?

Contact us at support@redspeararmory.com.au. We’ll respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before making changes.

How do I make a privacy complaint?

Email support@redspeararmory.com.au with details. We’ll review and respond. If you’re not satisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

Can this policy change?

Yes. We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in how we operate or changes to law/guidance. Updated versions will be posted on this page.
