Full disclosure: this one’s mine. I’m the founder of RedSpear, and this HK416D has been my own field blaster for the past year. It gets the same honest condition write-up I ask every other seller for.

It started as a stock Double Bell 801 HK416D Compact in metal, and it didn’t stay stock for long. The gearbox now runs a 13:1 gear set driven by a brushless motor, a Bluetooth MOSFET handles the trigger, and the front end has a Razor X SLR hop-up breaker unit and a 7.3mm stainless steel barrel. It’s just been serviced and runs without a fault.

The compact HK416D is short, light and easy to move with, which is why it suits the tight, fast games at most Queensland fields. The upgrades push it further in the same direction: a quicker cycle and a sharper trigger, not a different blaster. It has a few scratches from field use at the front end of the rail, and nothing worse.

Building this exact blaster new today would cost more than $1,000 : the HK416D itself, plus the Kestrel Bluetooth MOSFET, the 13:1 gear set, the brushless motor, the hop-up and the 7.3mm barrel. That’s before the new battery and the gels are counted.

What’s included

✔   HK416D Compact (upgraded)

✔   Original magazine

✔   Gens Ace 11.1V LiPo (brand new)

✔   Razor X SLR hop-up (fitted)

Not included: a charger and eye protection. The battery is an 11.1V (3S) LiPo with a Deans plug and a balance lead, so you’ll need a 3S LiPo balance charger.

Features

13:1 gears + brushless motor

A fast gear ratio paired with a brushless motor, for a quicker cycle than the stock gearbox.

Bluetooth MOSFET

E-Shooter Kestrel Bluetooth MOSFET, already installed and wired in. No soldering needed.

Razor X SLR hop-up

Razor X SLR hop-up breaker unit, the tan unit on the muzzle, fitted in place of the stock flash hider hop-up.

7.3mm stainless barrel

A tighter bore for more consistent shots, when it’s fed gels that fit it.

Metal HK416D Compact

Short and light enough to move fast through tight fields and buildings.

Ready to play

Freshly serviced, with a brand-new battery and gels. Add a charger and eye protection and you’re on the field.

Condition

Good, used, fully working. Bought new in September 2025 and played with since. Just serviced, no faults. The marks are cosmetic and they’re in the photos: paint wear and a few small chips on the front end of the handguard rail on both sides, and some small scuffs around the front of the gas block. The battery is brand new. The motor is a brushless unit, but I can’t confirm the exact make or model, so I won’t pretend to. As with every used listing on RedSpear, what’s described is what you get, including when the seller is RedSpear’s own founder: payment runs through RedSpear, not person-to-person.

Who this suits

  • Players who want an upgraded compact without doing the gearbox work
  • Close-quarters and indoor players who want a short, quick blaster
  • Anyone who wants phone-adjustable MOSFET settings already sorted
  • Pickup in Pimpama, 4209, QLD, or posted anywhere in Queensland, with plenty of QLD fields to run it at

🟣 A 7.3mm barrel is only as good as the gels you feed it

A tight-bore barrel rewards gels that are grown to a consistent size, and punishes ones that aren’t. Oversized gels squeeze, break or jam. Undersized ones rattle down the bore and lose range. The barrel is the easy part. The real upgrade is matching your gels to it. Our guide to gel size and barrel fit explains how to match them, and a gel ball sorter takes the guesswork out of it.

Frequently asked questions

What’s included?

The upgraded HK416D Compact with its Razor X SLR hop-up fitted, the original magazine, a brand-new battery and three packs of AusGel White Pearl Armour Tech gels to get you started. They’re a high-visibility white, so you can see your shots land. The battery is a Gens Ace 11.1V 1000mAh LiPo with a Deans plug. No charger is included, so you’ll need a 3S LiPo balance charger before your first game. Eye protection isn’t included either. When the gels run out, our SummerCat gel range is a tested option, and the gel growing and storing guide covers getting them field-ready.

What’s been upgraded?

A 13:1 gear set, a brushless motor, an E-Shooter Kestrel Bluetooth MOSFET, a Razor X SLR hop-up breaker unit and a 7.3mm stainless steel barrel. The hop-up is the tan unit on the muzzle. The exact make and model of the brushless motor is unknown, so it isn’t named here.

Any faults or damage?

No faults. It’s just been serviced and works as it should. The only marks are cosmetic: paint wear and small chips on the front end of the handguard rail on both sides, and a few small scuffs around the gas block. They’re all shown in the photos.

Is it pickup or can it be shipped?

Either. Collect it from Pimpama, 4209, QLD by appointment after purchase, or have it posted with tracked shipping anywhere in Queensland, postage included. Payment runs through RedSpear either way. Locals can also browse more on our Gold Coast used gel blasters page .

Can I make an offer?

Yes. Use the Make an Offer button on this page. If your offer clears the seller’s minimum it’s accepted automatically. Otherwise it goes to the seller to review.

Does it run within legal FPS limits?

The gear and motor upgrades are about rate of fire and trigger response, not extra power. Every field chronos blasters before play, so check your reading against the field’s limit. Our gel blaster FPS limits guide covers what’s allowed where.

Are gel blasters legal in Queensland?

Yes. Gel blasters are legal for adults aged 18 and over in Queensland, with no licence required, provided you follow the usual storage, transport and venue rules. See our Queensland gel blaster laws guide for the full picture.
