Full Terms and Conditions
1. About the platform
What is RedSpear Armory?
RedSpear Armory is a managed marketplace for buying and selling second-hand gel blasters and related gear in Queensland, Australia. Unlike a simple listing board, we facilitate the full transaction — collecting buyer payments, holding funds securely, and releasing payouts to sellers on confirmed delivery.
Who can use RedSpear?
Adults aged 18 and over only. By using the site you confirm that you are 18 or older and legally able to buy, sell, and possess gel blasters under Queensland law.
Is RedSpear Queensland-only?
Yes. All listings, buyers, sellers, shipping, and pickup arrangements must be within Queensland. We do not facilitate interstate trades.
Is RedSpear a party to the sale?
No. RedSpear facilitates the transaction between buyer and seller but is not a party to the sale contract. The agreement to buy and sell is between the buyer and seller directly. RedSpear's role is to provide the platform, process payments, and release payouts on confirmed delivery.
2. Fees and payments
What does it cost to list?
Absolutely nothing! Every listing is 100% for free.
How long does a listing run?
Each listing runs for 4 weeks from the date it goes live. If your item has not sold within 4 weeks, the listing expires or you can re-list for free. To make sure that date does not get missed, we will send you an email reminder in week 3.
What is the success fee?
If your item sells, a 5% success fee is deducted from your payout before it is transferred to you. This fee covers:
- Shopify payment processing: 1.75% of the sale price + $0.30
- RedSpear platform fee: 3% of the sale price
You never pay the success fee separately — it is simply deducted from what we owe you at payout. If your item does not sell, no success fee applies.
How does the buyer payment work?
When a buyer agrees to purchase a listing, they pay the full asking price through our platform via Shopify's secure payment system. RedSpear holds those funds until delivery is confirmed.
When do sellers get paid?
Sellers are paid out via PayID within 48 hours of confirmed delivery. Confirmation of delivery requires tracked shipping — we release funds once tracking shows the item has been delivered. Sellers must provide a valid PayID (mobile number or email address) to receive payment.
Is tracked shipping required?
Yes. All shipped items must use a tracked shipping service. We cannot release seller payouts without confirmed delivery via tracking. Items arranged as local pickup will be handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us before submitting a pickup-only listing.
What if a buyer doesn't pay?
If a buyer fails to complete payment, the transaction does not proceed and the listing may be reinstated at our discretion. Buyers who repeatedly fail to complete purchases may have their access restricted.
Are listing fees refundable?
The $5 listing fee is non-refundable once a listing has been approved and published. If a listing is rejected prior to approval, the fee is refunded. Unused fees (e.g. where a submission error occurs before review) may be refunded at our discretion.
3. Listings and content rules
What can you sell on RedSpear?
Second-hand gel blasters, magazines, batteries, chargers, optics, protective gear, parts, accessories, and related items that are legal to own and sell in Queensland. All items must be accurately described and in the condition stated.
What is not allowed?
The following will result in immediate rejection or removal:
- Items that are illegal to own or sell in Queensland
- Stolen goods or items of unknown provenance
- Misleading descriptions, false photos, or deceptive pricing
- Items that have been illegally modified
- Listings from sellers under 18
- Interstate listings or items requiring interstate shipping
- Drop shipping, replica listings, or listings without actual possession of the item
What can RedSpear do with listings?
We may approve, reject, edit (for clarity or formatting), pause, hide, or permanently remove any listing at our discretion to enforce our rules, protect users, prevent scams, or maintain platform quality and safety. We are not obligated to provide reasons for rejection or removal.
Who is responsible for listing accuracy?
The seller is solely responsible for ensuring their listing is accurate, complete, and honest — including descriptions, photos, condition, inclusions, and asking price. Buyers should ask questions before agreeing to purchase. RedSpear does not inspect, test, or verify items.
Can I cancel a listing once it's live?
Yes. Contact us and we will remove your listing. The $5 listing fee is not refundable for cancellations once a listing is live. If a buyer has already agreed to purchase and payment has been collected, cancellation is not available without buyer agreement.
Can I edit a live listing?
Minor edits (e.g. correcting a typo) can be requested by contacting us. Significant changes to price, condition, or inclusions may require the listing to be reviewed again. We aim to process edit requests within 24 hours.
4. Buyer obligations
What do buyers agree to?
By purchasing through RedSpear, buyers confirm they are 18 or older, legally able to own the item in Queensland, and agree to complete the transaction in good faith. Buyers must provide accurate delivery details to ensure successful tracked delivery.
What if an item arrives not as described?
Contact us immediately with photos and a description of the issue. We will work with the seller to resolve the matter. RedSpear does not guarantee item condition but will assist in mediating disputes where we can. Our ability to intervene is limited by what was described in the listing and what we can verify.
Can buyers request refunds?
Refunds are not automatically available — each situation is assessed on its merits. If an item is significantly not as described, contact us before accepting delivery where possible. Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
5. Off-platform transactions
Can buyers and sellers transact outside RedSpear?
No. Completing or attempting to complete a transaction outside of the RedSpear platform — including exchanging payment details to avoid fees — is a breach of these Terms and may result in permanent account bans for both parties. This policy exists to protect both buyers and sellers from scams and unresolved disputes.
Why does this matter?
Our payment handling and payout process is what protects both sides. Buyers are protected because we hold funds until delivery is confirmed. Sellers are protected because payment is secured before they ship. Bypassing the platform removes those protections entirely.
6. Conduct and messaging
How should users communicate?
All enquiries about listings should be directed through RedSpear. Communicate respectfully and in good faith. Harassment, threats, aggressive behaviour, scam attempts, or repeated rule breaches will result in account restrictions or permanent bans.
Can RedSpear ban users?
Yes. We may restrict, suspend, or permanently ban any user at our discretion to protect the platform, other users, and the integrity of the marketplace. We are not obligated to provide advance notice or detailed reasons in cases involving safety or fraud concerns.
7. Liability and disclaimers
Do you guarantee items, sellers, or buyers?
No. While we manually review listings and facilitate payments, we do not physically inspect, test, or store items. We do not guarantee item condition, performance, legality, or that any transaction will be completed to either party's satisfaction.
What is RedSpear not liable for?
To the extent permitted by Australian law, RedSpear is not liable for losses arising from: inaccurate listing descriptions, item defects, non-delivery due to carrier failure, disputes between buyers and sellers, injury or property damage arising from item use, or illegal use of any item bought or sold through the platform.
What about Australian Consumer Law?
Nothing in these Terms excludes consumer guarantees or rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the extent permitted by law.
8. Changes and contact
Can these Terms change?
Yes. We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the platform, our fee structure, or legal requirements. We will aim to notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the platform after changes are published means you accept the updated Terms.
What is the current version?
These Terms were last updated in March 2026 and reflect the current RedSpear Armory managed marketplace model.
How do I contact you?
Use the Contact page for support, listing disputes, refund requests, or to report a user or listing.
