Let’s get the catch out of the way first, because the seller did. The pistol is fine. The magazine isn’t. The Allen-key screw at the bottom of the CO2 mag, the one that drives the cartridge onto the piercing pin, has stripped its thread. It won’t tighten enough to pierce or safely hold a CO2 cartridge, so as it sits today this Hi-Capa can’t be fired.
Everything above the mag is a different story. The seller describes the frame, slide and blowback as being in great working condition with minimal cosmetic wear, and it’s the gold-and-black 4.3, the short-slide Hi-Capa that carries well on a belt and still looks like it came off a movie set. JG follows the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa pattern on this pistol so parts aren’t a hunt.

A stripped base-plate thread sounds terminal, but it lives in the magazine, which is the cheapest and most swappable part of any gas pistol. Because this one is pickup only, you can bring your own gel Hi-Capa mag, gassed up, and fire it at the handover before you walk away with it. Make sure it’s a gel mag, not an airsoft one: airsoft mags feed 6mm BBs and won’t feed gels. No spare mag? A stripped thread can usually be re-tapped or helicoiled by a tech, and our approved Queensland gel blaster techs are a good place to start.
