A hard-shell gel like Armour Tech only does its job if it’s fully grown . Under-soak a hard gel and you get the worst of both worlds: too small to seal in the barrel, and brittle enough to crack on the way out. The fix is patience — hard gels generally want a longer soak than soft ones to reach full size, so give them the time and check a few before you load.
