🟣 Fog is the real enemy, not gels
Almost every goggle-related incident on a field starts the same way: lenses fog, the player lifts them “just for a second”, and that’s the second a gel arrives. The most dangerous goggles are the ones you’re tempted to take off. Beat the fog before it starts: a dab of anti-fog spray (or even a thin film of dish soap, buffed clear) before game one, and crack a brief gap at the safe zone instead of lifting them mid-game. Swapping to the right visor for the light also means you’re never tempted to peek over the top.
Gel blasters are legal for adults 18+ in Queensland — see the QLD gel blaster laws guide . More protective gear on the marketplace .
