Plenty of players buy a laser unit, then find out at the safety briefing they can’t switch it on. Some QLD fields restrict or ban active lasers — eye safety is the whole reason goggles exist, and marshals don’t love beams sweeping across them. Ask your field before you run it hot. The good news: the flashlight side is welcome almost everywhere, and even with the laser off this still beats a dummy block — one unit, two tools, and the pressure switch makes the light genuinely usable mid-game.
